About
The Ocean Grove Breakers Basketball Club formed in 2022 welcoming junior players and existing teams to join our club to compete in the Bellarine Basketball Association for the Summer season commencing in October 2022. By 2025 the club has grown to 73 teams while expanding into the Geelong and Surfcoast competitions.
Our goal is to make it easy for everybody in our town to participate in basketball while forming a sporting community focused on fair play, healthy competition, inclusion and participation.
Ocean Grove has grown rapidly in the past decade and indoor sport facilities have not increased to accommodate demand. The club will serve as a united voice calling for more basketball facilities, sooner for Ocean Grove’s community. Check out the "Club Room" for more about our club's history and growth.

We are encouraging any individuals, schools or organisations that would like to be involved as sponsors, volunteers, partnerships, coaches, etc to reach out now as we form the foundation of a strong community club for many years to come.
Data from the Bellarine Peninsula Basketball Association collected during the 2022 Winter Season tells us that Basketball is wildly popular on the Bellarine and particularly in Ocean Grove. In our first season, Summer 2022-23, registrations exceeded the club's expectations and we expect this to grow significantly in the coming years.
